Aline is the Managing Partner of the Frontier Commodities Strategy. She has conceptualized and developed Frontier’s unique “quantamental” trading style and volatility management systems. She has 18 years of experience in cross-assets investments, including derivatives trading, structured products, interest rates modeling, fundamental research, AI-Big Data analytics, ESG and risk management.
Steffen is a Portfolio Manager / Commodity Trader of the Frontier Commodities Strategy. He is highly experienced in hedging and proprietary trading across energy, base and precious metal markets. Steffen has more than 15 years of experience in researching and analyzing commodity markets to make investment decisions and generate superior risk adjusted returns.
Max Copestake is a Senior Portfolio Manager of the Frontier Commodities Strategy, where he contributes to cross-commodity trading, fundamental research and portfolio risk management. His primary focus is on energy and agricultural markets, integrating supply-demand analysis, weather-driven modelling and market structure dynamics to identify trading opportunities.
He brings extensive experience across both physical and financial commodity markets, with particular expertise in agriculture. Prior to joining Frontier, Max was a cross-commodity Portfolio Manager at Stoa Capital and, before that, an Executive Director at Marex Spectron, where he led coffee and cotton trading activities. In that role, he contributed to hedge fund alpha generation and helped build out research, execution and business development capabilities across agricultural markets.
Earlier in his career, Max held trading roles at Volcafe (ED&F Man), where he ran proprietary trading books alongside physical trading activities across both derivatives and physical markets, spanning destination and global origin regions.
Max holds a BSc in Chemistry with Physics from Newcastle University.
Luca is Chief Operating Officer and Risk Manager for the Frontier Commodities strategy. He has extensive experience across hedge funds and asset management, with senior risk and operations roles at Teleios Capital Partners and Quantum Global, and earlier experience at Vontobel Asset Management. He is a CFA Charterholder.
Sharon is a middle office specialist with over 20 years of international experience in financial and commodity markets. She focuses on operational efficiency, risk control, and seamless front-to-back office integration in support of trading activities.
Richard is the Head of Finance of the Frontier Commodities Strategy. He has over 25 years of experience in finance, with experience at Merrill Lynch, UBS and Pala Investments. Richard is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.
